The 5th edition of the Canary Islands Business Excellence Awards, organized by the Government of the Canary Islands and the Spanish Association for Standardization and Certification (AENOR), took place yesterday at the Chamber of Commerce of Santa Cruz de Tenerife.
The event was presided over by the Minister of Economy, Finance and Security of the Canary Islands Government, Javier González Ortiz; the Director General of Industry and Energy, María Antonia Moreno; the President of the Chamber of Commerce of Santa Cruz de Tenerife, José Luis García; and the Director of AENOR in the Canary Islands, José Luis Mataix.
The Canary Islands Business Excellence Awards are aimed at promoting the principles of quality, excellence and innovation as key factors in the competitiveness of Canary Islands companies. They are awarded in the following categories: medium-large company, small industrial company and small non-industrial company. Likewise, Special Mentions are also awarded to the companies that did not receive an award and are the best valued in each category.
AENOR, collaborating entity in charge of the management of the contest, has subjected the companies to a rigorous evaluation based on audits for the subsequent deliberation by the jury. Finally, our organization, PROTISA Productos Tinerfeños, has been awarded with a Special Mention in the category of small industrial company and we would like to thank that our effort and work has been recognized. It encourages us to remain committed to improving the competitiveness of our organization and the pursuit of excellence in our business management.
